Investing in future leaders of the dairy industry and regional Victoria.
Gardiner Foundation has supported Community Leadership Programs since inception, recognising the vital role that strong local leadership plays in the resilience and success of Victorian dairy communities.
Each year, we offer scholarships to up to 10 emerging leaders, one dairy farmer and one service provider from each of Victoria’s five key dairy regions. These scholarships support participation in respected leadership programs, including:
These programs are designed to build leadership capability and prepare participants to step into influential roles across the industry and their communities.
Since 2004, Gardiner has funded more than 70 dairy community members through these programs. Many graduates have gone on to serve on boards, lead community groups, influence strategic planning, and act as role models and mentors, strengthening not just the dairy sector, but the regions they call home.
This initiative is a key part of Gardiner’s commitment to developing people in dairy and ensuring the industry has the leadership it needs for a strong and sustainable future.
