Dairy Industry Emissions Roadmap

Collaborating to shape a lower-emissions future for Australian dairy.

Gardiner Foundation is proud to be supporting the development of the Australian Dairy Emissions Reduction Roadmap, a strategic, whole-of-industry initiative led by Dairy Australia, in partnership with the Australian Dairy Products Federation (ADPF) and other key stakeholders.

This project will produce a comprehensive Roadmap that identifies practical and science-backed pathways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across the entire dairy supply chain – from farm to factory.

Climate change presents a significant challenge for the dairy industry, and this Roadmap is an important step toward meeting the sector’s long-term emissions reduction goals. It builds on existing research and data to guide measurable progress while maintaining profitability and sustainability across the industry.

Gardiner’s Commitment

As a co-investor and active collaborator, Gardiner Foundation brings a Victorian perspective to this national effort, supporting both the development and delivery of the Roadmap. Our involvement includes:

  • Participating in the Project Steering Committee
  • Contributing to the strategic direction and content of the Roadmap
  • Supporting engagement with Victorian stakeholders to ensure the Roadmap reflects the needs and strengths of our dairy communities
  • Helping shape the industry’s approach to measuring, reporting and reducing emissions

This initiative aligns with Gardiner’s long-standing commitment to supporting innovation, sustainability and resilience in Victorian dairy. By collaborating with industry partners, we aim to deliver actionable outcomes that benefit the entire supply chain and secure a more sustainable future for dairy.
